Back in 2006, when cloud accounting was a pipe dream and most accountants thought the internet was just a flashy phone book, small businesses had it rough.

Accountants were the people you dreaded seeing once a year – usually with a hefty tax bill in one hand and their own, even heftier invoice in the other.

Enter Mazuma.

We saw how taxes and accounts turned brilliant, talented people into stressed-out worriers. And we were ready to change all that. Becoming the UK’s first subscription-based service, tailor-made for small businesses and sole traders who have better things to do than drown in spreadsheets.

But how do you get people to send you their documents when you don’t even have an office of your own? With a touch of genius, and a splash of purple. Of course.

When two childhood friends founded Mazuma, we didn’t just change the game. We started a whole new league.

From being the first in the UK to introduce a subscription model for accountancy services, we’ve since inspired industry-wide change.

Fast forward to today and we’ve grown from a two-woman outfit working out of a spare bedroom, into the UK’s leading provider of subscription-based Accounting services.

No longer only using purple envelopes, we now have an app, online platform and proprietary technology built specifically for clients like you.
