Our Plans For Coronavirus COVID19
As we are sure you are aware, there is a predicted widespread outbreak of COVID-19 in the UK.
Whilst nobody knows at this point in time how widely the infection will spread and over what period of time, nor do we know what the formal government recommendations will be, we are preparing for the worst, whilst like you all, hoping for the best.
Part of the government-advised solution to stop the spread of the virus is to ask people to self-isolate for 14 days as and when symptoms appear or when advised by the health service, which may mean that some of our staff are unable to come to the office for work.
The health and safety of our staff is of the utmost importance to us, as is supporting our clients during this time.
In order to minimise the impact of staff absences, we have put in place robust plans to allow staff to work from home if they are required to self-isolate.
If you are using the app and digital version of the service then you should see little to no disruption to your service.
Clients who send in their paperwork physically may experience some disruption to service in the unlikely event that all our staff have to work from home at the same time. However, we will keep you fully informed should this unlikely event occur and we will, of course, deal with any correspondence with HMRC that is required for you. Otherwise, you will also see little to no disruption to your service. If you would like to switch to the electronic version of the service then just let us know and we can arrange this for you.
Finally, we know that this a worrying time for everyone, especially small businesses and the self-employed. We want to do everything we can to support you so that at least dealing with HMRC is something you don’t have to worry about.
